Summerhill Pyramid Winery is Canada’s largest certified organic winery, and is also Canada’s premier producer of traditional method sparkling wines. The 1991 Cipes Gabriel Blanc de Blanc won a gold medal at the Chardonnay du Monde competition in France, and the rest of the sparkling Cipes line consistently wins medals and acclaim all over the world.

The view, the wild and organic cuisine served at the Summerhill Sunset Bistro (supplied by on site organic vegetable gardens), and the world famous Pyramid Tour combine to make a truly unique and memorable experience.
The Summerhill Vineyard comprises over 65 acres of which approximately 45 are planted. The varieties include; Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, Ehrenfelser and Pinot Meunier. They are flourishing here in the northernmost desert viticulture region of the world.
Summerhill is a Certified Organic Vineyard using no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers in the soil. Glacier rock dust is added to provide trace minerals. Remineralized soils are proving to produce more flavourful and healthier foods wherever they are used. Our Certified Organic Farm status is administered by PACS (Pacific Agriculture Certification Society).
The grape clones have been imported from the finest vineyards of Champagne France, Bordeaux, the Rheingau and Mösel. They are Europe's most celebrated historic vinifera varietals. Grown here, they are producing wines that rival the best from their mother countries. The Okanagan Valley is a semiarid desert with only twenty eight centimeters of rainfall per year and very little humidity in any given season. This, combined with the warm air that sweeps the vineyards along the one hundred and twenty kilometers of Lake Okanagan, creates what is perhaps the finest grape growing region in the entire world! The valley has long hot summer days, longer days than any other wine-growing region due to being so far north. This, combined with cool evening temperatures allows the production of small grapes with high sugar content and acidity producing intensely flavoured and aromatic wines.
