Gabriola Island Winery is a small family owned winery run by Fenix and Chris Theuerkorn.
Fenix is the winemaker and has over ten years experience making wine. He has been trained at UC Davis and is WSET certified. Additionally, Fenix is a professor at Vancouver Island University and is currently developing a wine certification program at the Nanaimo campus.
Chris is the general manager. Her background includes ten years of advertising experience working for companies such as Leo Burnett, NW Ayer, and Cramer-Krasselt. Chris has augmented her wine career with certification from the International Sommelier Guild.
